July Summer Program
This year's summer program will take place across five weekends in July. It is a short "sampler" course with all the Foundry essentials, including lessons on automotive maintenance, cooking and grilling, and one take-home project. If you are interested, please feel free to contact us or register.
July 3 - Fire Building
The ancient art of building fires (and cooking hot dogs). Teaches the basic principles behind how fire works as well as techniques for building one. Lunch is provided.
July 10 - battle Bridge Pt. 1
The Battle Bridge is a game involving marbles and careful strategy. This will be a take-home project that will take two lessons to complete. Building the game teaches how to handle power drills as well as basic woodworking skills.
July 17 - Battle Bridge Pt. 2
This lesson will wrap up the Battle Bridge game. Students will be able to take home their completed Battle Bridge.
July 24 - Jump Starting a Car
The basics of car batteries and jump starting a car, including how to clean terminals, check for voltage, proper procedure for attaching jumper cables, what an alternator is and what the battery does.
July 31 - Grilling
The subtle art of cooking meat on a grill. Lunch provided.
Lessons are 9am - 12pm. Our facility is a large garage/shop in a residential area.
